Harvest Season at Menteşe Farm
The groves have been carefully attended to all year by Osman Abi, the proprietor of Menteşe farm. In mid-December, the local villagers assist with the harvest and each day sees a fresh batch of Memecik variety olives off to the pressing facility to be immediately turned into our unique blend of bracingly fresh, subtly complex, and pleasantly peppery extra virgin olive oil. Following Turkish custom, musicians are called, friends and family are invited, and a festivity of dancing, laughing, music-making, and of course, eating commences.
